Tickets start at just Ksh 500. The biggest concert of the year is coming.

In what promises to be the biggest concert event of the year, a Genge music legend has announced a surprise Christmas Eve show at the 60,000-capacity Nyayo Stadium, his first major performance in nearly three years.

A Return to Glory

The artist, who dominated the Nairobi music scene in the 2010s before taking a hiatus to focus on family and personal health, will headline a star-studded lineup featuring up-and-coming Genge artists and throwback performances from other rap icons of the era.

Tickets go on sale Friday morning at 8 AM, and early bird prices start at just Ksh 500 for standing room, with VIP tables going up to Ksh 50,000. Pre-sales are expected to move fast, with many predicting a sellout within hours.

"I'm coming back to remind Nairobi that Genge will never die. This is for everyone who grew up on this sound. The youth, the OGs, everyone. This is history," the artist said in a video announcement posted to his newly-reactivated Instagram account.

Industry analysts estimate the concert could gross over Ksh 200 million in ticket sales alone, not counting merchandise and sponsorship deals. The artist's label is already in talks with major brands about partnership opportunities.
