A Kenyan beauty mogul is entering the cosmetics industry with a bang. All products are made locally.
One of East Africa's most successful supermodels has officially launched her own beauty and cosmetics line, backed by a Ksh 500 million investment and manufactured entirely in Kenya.
Beauty Goes Local
The brand features 45 products across skincare, makeup, and fragrance categories, all formulated by renowned chemists and derived from natural Kenyan ingredients including moringa, baobab, and shea butter sourced from women's cooperatives across Kenya.
The model, who has graced international magazine covers and walked for luxury brands in Milan and New York, decided to launch her own line after observing how few African beauty brands had representation in the premium cosmetics market.
"I wanted to create something that celebrates African beauty standards instead of trying to fit into European ideals. These products are formulated for our skin tones, our climate, our needs," she explained during the launch event at the Safari Park Hotel.
The launch event attracted over 300 guests including celebrities, influencers, and media from across East Africa. The line will be available exclusively through select retailers across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania initially, with plans to expand to international markets by year-end.
Industry experts predict first-year sales of over Ksh 2 billion, positioning this as one of the most successful African beauty brand launches in recent history.
